All day: Tour the new exhibit at the Minnesota Veterinary History Museum, “History in the Making,” which connects the legacy and future of CVM research
After the day's programming: Join members of the CVM Research Committee for a post-Summit celebration at Urban Growler
The Research, Innovation, Discovery, and Education (RIDE) Summit is an annual celebration of our College’s research achievements, honoring faculty, staff, students, and alums who contribute to our research mission.
As both a reimagining of the former Research Day and the capstone event to the RIDE Seminar Series, the day-long celebration brings together members of the CVM community to learn from one another, share their discoveries, and discuss innovative approaches to research through panels, talks, and social activities. The RIDE Summit also provides trainees the opportunity to practice skills for communicating their work through a poster session and 3-minute thesis presentations.
The RIDE Summit is made possible through collaboration between CVM's Research Office, Office of Graduate Programs, Office of Clinical Affairs, and Research Committee. Event participation is open to the entire CVM community as well as guests who are interested in the innovative work being done at the College of Veterinary Medicine. Please join us!
Celebrating research
The RIDE Summit features sessions designed to share knowledge and inspire researchers. The 2024 event featured panels on fostering diversity for innovative research teams and cultivating strong mentorship dynamics in academic research.
Celebrating students
Students and trainees are a cornerstone of CVM research and innovation. The RIDE Summit also provides trainees the opportunity to practice skills for communicating their work through a poster session and 3-minute thesis presentations.
Celebrating excellence
The RIDE Summit holds an awards ceremony that honors faculty and alums who have made outstanding contributions to veterinary research. These awards include the Zoetis Award for Veterinary Research Excellence, the CVM Mark of Excellence Award, the Research Staff Excellence Award, and the CVM Distinguished Research Alum Award.
The 2025 RIDE Summit took place on July 16. The day’s agenda included student and resident competitions, an expert panel, a keynote seminar, a poster session, and an awards ceremony.
