The College of Veterinary Medicine hosted the Annual Education Day virtually this year on Friday, May 20, 2021. The event included presentations about student and faculty mental health, an interactive poster session, a debate about pass/fail grading, and an interactive panel discussion about tips and best practices for on-line/virtual learning. Faculty and staff teaching award winners were also presented.


Several VBS Faculty and Staff presented posters including:

  2. "Using a survey of 'What we wish they knew' to guide and foster collegiate and curricular change," by Erin Burton and MV Root Kustritz

  3. "Biosecurity Framework for Healthy Production," by Carol Cardona, Erin Cortus, Abby Schuft, Tim Johnson, Deb Freedman, and Jaclyn Barnes

  4. "Enhancing a Virtual Microbiology Course with 3 In-Person Labs Improves Student Learning Outcomes," by Cheryl M.T. Dvorak, Lisa Bofenkamp, and Dawn Foster-Hartnett

  5. "A Tale of Two Methods: Students taught in-person and online achieve similar learning outcomes and team satisfaction," by Dawn Foster-Hartnett, Cheryl M.T. Dvorak, and Lisa Bofenkamp

  6. "Science Communication: Educational Resources for DVM, Extension, and Outreach Programs," by Marc D. Schwabenlander and Roxanne J. Larsen
