U of MN Extension Dean Distinguished Award recipient

VBS Professor and Pomeroy Endowed Chair Carol Cardona received a 2022 Dean’s Distinguished Award (recognizing campus-based faculty) from the University of Minnesota Extension. Dr. Cardona, who has an extension and research appointment in the College of Veterinary Medicine, is a national leader in extension programming that targets the Minnesota poultry industry and producers. As a member of the Extension Poultry Team, Dr. Cardona's efforts have made Minnesota a shining example of a state that is actively addressing, mitigating and preventing infections by highly pathogenic avian influenza in poultry flocks.  For more information, please visit the UMN Extension website.
