Trevor Ames, DVM, MS, DACVIM

Dr. Trevor R. Ames is Dean Emeritus for the College of Veterinary Medicine and Professor Emeritus in Department of Veterinary Population Medicine at the University of Minnesota. Prior to these positions he served as the Associate Vice President of Academic Health Sciences for 3 years in the Office of the Executive Vice President and Provost. In that position, he provided leadership for the University’s interprofessional education in health sciences. Before serving in the role of Associate Vice President, he was the Dean of the College of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Minnesota for 12 years. Prior to his term as Dean he also served as Chair of the Veterinary Population Medicine Department for 10 years as well as acting chair of the Veterinary Clinical Sciences Department, Chair of the Veterinary Medical Center Leadership Team and Interim Dean of the College.
