Biography

Summary

As both a practicing veterinarian and an educator, I attempt to make learning meaningful and practical for students.  I am interested in finding effective ways to balance and combine the need for students to learn core content with the clinical applications of the material we study.  Aside from teaching, my professional interests include rescue work and supporting care of animals for people facing socioeconomic disadvantages.

Research Summary

My research focuses on understanding better ways to teach veterinary and pre-veterinary students to help prepare them for successful careers after graduation.
