Biography
Summary
Dr. Masters joined the University of Minnesota in 2022 as an assistant clinical professor in comparative cardiology. She completed her undergraduate and veterinary studies at Iowa State University and her masters in public health at the University of Iowa. Dr. Masters completed a small animal medicine and surgery rotating internship at Colorado State University and received residency training in veterinary cardiology at Iowa State University. She is board certified in cardiology and is a diplomate to the American college of veterinary internal medicine (cardiology). She enjoys advancing veterinary cardiology through research and by training students, interns, and residents.

Research
Dr. Masters has a wide variety of clinical research interest in the field of cardiology. Her current research focuses on the role of the renin-angiotensin-aldosterone system in cardiovascular pathology and its importance in treatment strategy.
