Biography

Summary

Dr. Heinrich is a clinical pathologist and current lab director of the VMC Clinical Pathology Lab. He completed his undergraduate degree in animal sciences at the University of Illinois, his DVM at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, his rotating internship at VCA Veterinary Specialty Center of Seattle, and his residency in clinical pathology at the University of Minnesota CVM. Dr. Heinrich also spent two years in Chicago as a small animal general practitioner prior to residency training. His areas of interest include diagnostic cytology, hematology, and clinical chemistry. He teaches in multiple courses in the veterinary curriculum and participates in collaborative clinical research.

Dr. Heinrich is interested in collaborative clinical research related to cytology, hematology and clinical chemistry especially related to improving or discovering new techniques for sample acquisition and evaluation.
