About the program

The University of Minnesota Canine Brain Tumor Program is a multifaceted, internationally recognized program that advances care for both dogs and people affected by primary brain tumors. We provide cutting-edge therapy to dogs to preserve their quality of life and improve long-term survival. We study how canine and human gliomas are similar to each other, so that the clinical trials we conduct benefit both dogs and people. Our trials are supported by a variety of financial sponsors, including grants from foundations and government agencies. The majority of costs associated with enrollment are covered through these funding mechanisms.
