CVM OMOS - Signature Program RFA - ~$1.2 million available
Request for Proposals
Approximately 1.2 million dollars is available to fund creative and innovative research projects through the CVM's One Medicine One Science Strategic Plan for Research initiative.
The CVM seeks to fund new interdisciplinary research collaborations by assembling teams of scientists that advance the CVM’s three Signature Programs and associated research clusters.
This Signature Program funding will be distributed through a competitive peer review process and will support two types of research projects:
1. Team science-based projects that bring together a cluster of CVM researchers who will - collectively address grand challenges; advance new or existing research projects or programs; that are highly innovative and have a significant potential for return on investment (e.g. lead to large extramural funding) in the near future. Up to $200,000 per project is available to support up to 5 team-science based projects for a two-year duration.
2. Pilot or seed projects. A limited number of pilot or seed projects ($25,000 maximum) will also be considered.
Please see RFA for application details. All applications are due November 21, 2018. In the event that you wish to submit a proposal after the Letter of Intent deadline, you will be required to justify the submission without a letter of intent and seek approval to submit from the Interim Associate Dean for Research, Dr. Molly McCue.
