Twin Cities Girls Rock

Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity Inc., Gamma Xi Lambda Chapter  and The Minnesota Movement Ent llc & bring to the History Theatre stage TWIN CITIES GIRLS ROCK (TCGR), sponsored in part by the Raymond W. Cannon Education Foundation! This event will celebrate some of the Twin Cities' iconic women who are trailblazers, change agents, and leaders in their respective fields.

This evening will include award presentations to some of Minnesota’s phenomenal women including Patty Peterson (awarding winning vocalist and musician), Regina Williams (leading lady of theatre and music), Maya Santamaria (pioneering broadcast journalist), Freedom Brewer (enterprising entrepreneur and community leader), Dr. Delores Henderson (visionary educator), Rev. Gloria Roach Thomas (inspirational religious and civic leader), Commissioner Toni Carter (selfless community change agent) and U.S. Senator Amy Klobuchar (trailblazing community and national leader).

Special guest performances from national and local artists, including: by Jana Nyberg, one of Ten Women To Know On The "Twin Cities Jazz Scene" 2018 & a Season 10 American Idol vocalist & flautist; Thomasina Petrus, recording artist, actress, composer and entrepreneur; Erin Schwab, Twin Cities vocalist and theatrical extraordinaire; Paris Bennett, national recording artist, actress & American Idol favorite; and Jamecia Bennett, three-time Grammy Award-winning Vocalist, actress & director.

This event will be held on Sunday, August 19th at 7p.m. Doors open 6pm.
