November 18, 2024
Jen Granick is an associate professor of internal medicine in the Department of Veterinary Clinical Sciences and one of the leaders of the Antimicrobial Resistance and Stewardship Initiative. Her research focuses globally on infectious disease and host immune response. She is specifically interested in the role of white blood cell precursors (hematopoietic stem and progenitor cells) outside of their bone marrow niche in response to infection. She studies a model of Staphylococcus aureus skin wound infection and how these stem and progenitor cells participate in the innate immune response.
In this new new video series, the College of Veterinary Medicine introduces some of the people behind our world-class research program to share their exciting advancements and the passion that drives their work.
