Points of Pride Research Day awards

Four University of Minnesota alumni, faculty, and research partners have been named recipients of Point of Pride Research Day awards. All awards are based on set criteria, and honor faculty and alumni who show outstanding work in their field.

  • The Distinguished Alumnus Research Award will be presented to Stephen Withrow, ’72 DVM, distinguished professor at Colorado State University.
  • The Zoetis Award for Excellence in Veterinary Research will be presented to  Molly McCue, DVM, MS, PhD, professor in the Department of Veterinary Population Medicine and associate dean of research at the CVM.
  • The Mark of Excellence Award will be presented to Connie Gebhart, PhD, professor in the Department of Veterinary and Biomedical Sciences.
  • The Distinguished Research Partner Award will be presented to the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources.

These awards will be presented at the Points of Pride Research Day from 3:00-4:30pm on October 2, 2019, in 215 Pomeroy Student-Alumni Learning Center.
