CVM Education Day 2024 highlights

On Friday, May 17th, 2024, the Office of Academic and Student Affairs with the College of Veterinary Medicine (CVM) hosted the annual CVM Education Day. Education Day provides an opportunity for faculty, students, and staff to recognize fellow educators as well as promote educational advancements and teaching techniques. VBS Participants and award winners included the following categories:
POSTERS
Sarah Brown, Emily Truckenbrod, Roxanne Larsen, & Deb Freedman, submitted "How does a remediation plan during the semester support students' learning?"
Abby Brown and Sue Spence submitted, "Who needs practice? Practice ZONE sessions and Mass Excision Assessment Outcomes."
2024 VBS TEACHING AWARDS
- VBS Outstanding Teacher awarded to Erin Burton
- CVM Outstanding Staff Teaching awarded to Melissa Wolfe
- CVM Excellence in Course Coordination Year 1 awarded to Sarah Brown and Emily Truckenbrod
- CVM Instructor Development Certificate recipient included Tanya Heacock (Teaching Laboratory Support)
2024 VBS OUTSTANDING TEACHING ASSISTANT AWARDS (Recognized separately outside of Education Day)
