Dogs and humans share a particularly deadly form of brain cancer: glioblastoma. A new five-year canine cancer research project, awarded to the University of Minnesota, may improve survival rates in dogs and give researchers more insight into glioblastoma to apply to human trials.

The AVMA Board of Directors has provided $13,500 in support of students to complete Purdue’s Student Certificate Program for Diversity and Inclusion in Veterinary Medicine.

The College of Veterinary Medicine has adopted a Diversity Plan as an extension of its 2016-2021 Strategic Plan.

A 9.4% increase in the number of contributors making gifts to the University of Minnesota College of Veterinary Medicine helped fuel a strong fundraising performance.

Tuition will rise less than one percent this fall for Doctor of Veterinary Medicine students enrolled at the University of Minnesota College of Veterinary Medicine.
