Dr. Pieters has worked hard to establish a productive, high impact academic program that focuses on research, outreach, and education of DVM and graduate students. Dr. Pieters is a highly appreciated instructor, mentor, and advisor for graduate students. She actively participates in a journal class that investigates critical thinking and experimental design. Dr. Pieters is collaborative in nature, hard working, disciplined, and seeks to advance graduate student education as a whole. She is a passionate advocate of graduate student well being.
