After careful consideration, the UMN CVM will discontinue the use of Graduate Record Exam (GRE) scores in DVM applicant evaluation, starting with the Class of 2026 (admit term fall 2022). Read more about how applicants are evaluated here.

Developed and taught by DVM students, this three-hour interactive program educates students in grades 9-12 about careers in veterinary medicine, through hands-on learning activities and games.
Applicants to the class of 2026 are encouraged to attend an Application Preparation Seminar for an overview of the applicant evaluation process, plus tips and advice for submitting a competitive application. Register for this event here.
