Update for the Class of 2026!

After careful consideration, the UMN CVM will discontinue the use of Graduate Record Exam (GRE) scores in DVM applicant evaluation, starting with the Class of 2026 (admit term fall 2022). Read more about how applicants are evaluated here

Policy change due to COVID-19

The UMN CVM will accept prerequisite coursework taken during spring semester 2020 and summer semester 2020 with a grade of pass or satisfactory earned. Read more about this on our Frequently Asked Questions page here.

Information Session

Information Session ONLINE ONLY due to COVID-19 restrictions 

Attend an Information Session to learn more about a career in veterinary medicine, veterinary education, and admission to the Doctor of Veterinary Medicine program. In-person visits and hospital tours are suspended until further notice.
