Eligible cats, briefly (contact us for full information):

  • Cats aged 1 year or older
  • Diagnosed with chronic kidney disease (IRIS stage 2 or 3) associated anemia (PCV 17-25%)
  • Not had previous erythropoietin therapy
  • Do not require daily fluid administration

Study summary:

The study consists of 24 weeks of study drug treatments and owner observations.

  • Screening exam with lab tests, initial assessments
  • Enrollment Day 0 exam, blood tests, 1st study drug injection (subcutaneous)
  • Weeks 1 – 4: Weekly exams, samples and study drug injections
  • Weeks 6 -12: Every other week visits for exams, samples and study drug injections
  • Months 4 – 6: Monthly visits for exams, samples and study drug injections

Costs of the study:

The study pays for all study visits listed above. Pet owners may also receive financial compensation directly from study sponsor upon completion of the study.
