Summary
Dr. Sheila Torres completed a residency and PhD at the University of Minnesota. She is currently a Full Professor and Head of the Dermatology Service at this Institution. Dr. Torres has published over 30 peer-reviewed articles and lectured worldwide. Her research areas of interest are atopic dermatitis, skin microbiome and antimicrobial peptides. She is the co-author of a recently released canine and feline dermatology drug handbook and was a co-editor of the Veterinary Dermatology journal. Dr. Torres received the American College of Veterinary Dermatology Award for Excellence for Outstanding Contributions to Science and Education.
