Bio
Dr. Colleen Hickey grew up in southeastern Pennsylvania and studied Computer Engineering at Villanova University, where she also played Division I Volleyball. She earned her Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine from the University of Minnesota and, after completing an internship at Angell Animal Medical Center in Boston, came back to complete her comparative anesthesia residency. She served as the anesthesia department head at Colorado Animal Specialty and Emergency in Boulder, Colorado, before returning to the University as faculty. She believes that lifelong learning is the secret to eternal youth. In the hospital, Colleen is a lover of horses, giant breed dogs, and collaborative care. Off the clinic floor, she is a reader, skier, and pizza's number one fan.
