Christina Owen, MA

Christina Owen (she/her) is the academic advisor at the College of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Minnesota-Twin Cities. She holds an MA in Organizational Leadership, Policy, and Development-Higher Education.

 

Prior to her role in CVM she was the student services specialist for an Integrative Health and Wellbeing Coaching Program (NBC-HWC) and was administrative support for the Center for Human Resources and Labor Studies (CHRLS). She is a Mental Health Advocate, a first-gen student, and is passionate about student success. Her thesis titled 'The Imposter Phenomenon Among First-Generation Graduate Students: How Does it Impact Women’s Mental Health?' highlights her passion for student success. She is excited to apply her work, experience, and knowledge to support veterinary students throughout their program. When she isn't working, Christina enjoys spending time outdoors with her partner, Lance, reading, gardening, and loves a cozy coffee shop!
