Diversity and Inclusion Initiatives
VOICE is a student-run organization that seeks to increase awareness of, respect for, and sensitivity to diversity among all individuals and communities in the field of veterinary medicine.
This award has been established to recognize significant accomplishments and innovation in achieving and sustaining diversity and inclusion efforts within the College’s personnel, policies, programs, environment, climate, and constituencies
The Veterinary Leadership through Early Admissions for Diversity (VetLEAD) program was created to meet the increasing demand for veterinarians and to promote diversity within the veterinary student body.
In response to student requests, the Diversity and Inclusion Committee (DNIC) with support from Dean Molgaard has arranged a series of six DEI virtual workshops. The workshops are held once a month from 6-8pm and cover a range of topics. Recent workshop titles include, "Beyond Diversity 101" and "Advancing Racial Equity: History, Conext, Privilege". Recordings and resources from the workshops are available to CVM faculty/staff/students on the college's intranet for continued education.
